Power
Hey Everyone! I just wanted to reiterate what I said last night: There is power in prayer because the One we pray to is All-powerful. God is the only source of power when we pray - it doesn't have to do with anything else. It's all about him; it's not about me or anything I do. This is what Paul said in Galatians 2:20: "Not I, but Christ." Can you imagine what would happen if all of us at MOSAIC made that our life motto? "Not I, but Christ." I think you would see some serious, immediate growth in your walk with Christ as a result of making that statement your own. Let me encourage you to do that. I also want to say thank you for the past 8 weeks. I want you to know that you have ALL helped me grow in the Word as I have tried to help you do the same. It's such a fulfilling experience when I come on Thursday Nights. You are all so very important to me and I cannot thank you enough for all you do to support and encourage me. I'm serious when I call you "my Friends." Looking ahead, continue to spread the word about our Conference next weekend. This is going to be the highlight of your year so far, so you don't want to miss it. And why don't you begin PRAYING about who God would have you bring to this conference? If your friends are reluctant because of money, why not be GENEROUS with them because God has been so GENEROUS with you? Spot them a few bucks; you're investing in the Kingdom when you do. Then, on April 3, Dad will be starting a new Bible Study with you all called, "Everybody Loves a Good Story." Teaching on a select number of the parables of Christ, you will not want to miss a Thursday. The parables can be confusing sometimes, because Jesus didn't always interpret everything for us. So, make sure you're there starting April 3. We will also be starting the DivorceCare program on that evening; I don't need to tell you how important this is, because you already know. Lives will be changed; wounds will be healed. I hope you have a wonderful day as we solemnly remember our Lord's death. Read Isaiah 53 today in your devotional time; this prophetic word of Christ's suffering will give you just a glimpse of what He did for you and for me. And thank God, He did. Also, have a wonderful Easter with you and yours. Spend the morning in church (wherever that is), celebrating Christ's resurrection. Then spend the evening with friends and family, celebrating the new life you all have as a result of Christ's resurrection. In Him, Jonathan P.S. This morning I prayed over all the names on my 3x5 card, and you were on there. I hope you will begin to invest in your "prayer life" by carrying around a 3x5 card - or whatever system works for you. The Easter season is the best time to begin new habits of righteous behavior, because we are so focused on the Righteous One, Jesus (1 John 2:1), who gave US new life.
