Happy New Year!

 We're off to a great start so far.  What an incredible time we had last Thursday - our First Thursday in 2008.  If you weren't there, let me recap what you missed.  The evening began with a time of praise & worship, then continued with some fellowship around some real good snacks.  After that, I had the privilege of teaming up with my son, Jonathan, and Pastor Kurt to open up God's Word.  We addressed the impact that the Christ's death has on our past, present, and future.  I know that it had a tremendous influence on my life as I prepared throughout the week, and some of you have shared with me how God spoke to you through that message.  Before the evening was over, however, we gathered around the Lord's Table to celebrate Communion.  What a sweet, sweet time that was!  If you were there, you know that the Spirit of God was in that place.  Last Thursday was truly a blessing.

 Looking ahead to this coming Thursday, January 10, we have a very exciting event taking place.  it's our annual Birthday Bash, where we celebrate everyone's birthday in our Ministry.  The Golden Eagles will again be joining us to get in on the fun.  It all starts this Thursday at 6:30. A limited - and let me stress limited - amount of tickets will be at the door for $5, so don't delay.  I want all of you to come out this Thursday.

 Also, save Thursday, January 17 in your calendars.  We're going to be giving brief previews of the three (count 'em, 3) electives that will be taking place in our MOSAIC Ministry this Spring, over the next 8 or 9 weeks.  I'll give you an even brief-er (is that a word?) preview.  Rick and Sue VanDette will be leading a series entitled "Discovering God's Way of Handling Money."  They are using material from Crown Financial Ministries, a very reliable and Biblically-based company that specializes in financial advising.  Then, Tom and Linda Davis are going to be going through the "Boundaries" series.  Every time we offer this series, I only hear positive feedback about the wonderful things God is doing in your lives.  Finally, Jonathan is going to continue the series we began over the summer, "Got Issues? Get Answers!"  He'll be using video clips from the NOOMA video series to communicate some great truths to you this Spring.

 I'm so thankful for how God has been working in MOSAIC.  I look forward to seeing what He's going to do in our lives in the coming weeks and months.
